Laptop batteries and airport security?

laptop batteries

I am planning to fly with my laptop in the near future. I have heard that airport security can be hard on batteries. If the laptop is a carry-on item is this an issue?

    I have not heard of this, nor have I experienced it. I just returned from a trip and… in fact, I do travel with my laptop fairly frequently (domestically and internationally).
