I’m a college freshman and I am looking to buy a laptop. I need to find one that is the best for a student.

Hi there,
Because you are going off to college, you will probably want a laptop that is portable, so you can carry it to and from class. Also, many college students have laptops with multi-media capabilities so that they can watch videos and DVDs on their laptops. You should check out the Dell Studio 15. It has a fast processor, 4 GB RAM, and 500 GB hard drive space. It is also has a 15.6″ screen and weighs 5.5 lbs.

I bought an HP Compaq 515 for college. It was $410. The best thing about it is the voice recognition. It takes some getting used to but once it was trained to my voice I didn’t have to write papers anymore. I just speak them aloud and they show up. It rarely makes mistakes. Also, it has sticky notes which is pretty cool because I tend to be a bit unorganized. Oh yeah, it’s really light so I don’t mind carrying it around campus all day. The only negative is that the battery life is short. I love it though.
