Why should a kid have a laptop?
I really want a laptop for christmas. I am a really responsible 13 year old kid. I need it for homework, but I also want one for my own personal use and stuff. How should I convince my parents into gettting me one for x-mas?
No negative answers please, and dont tell me a kid doesnt need a laptop! Thank you!

For mine and thats cheap do you another one it because your parents arent going to buy with password and get laptop they are very expensive paid 1200 for laptop and keep your own account with that is years.

tell them its for homework. is there a family lap top? tell them u want to be able to use it whenever. also, tell them u will be responsible asnd if it breaks u dont expect them to buy a new one. also, tell them u will find some money to buy the extra things to go with it
Tell them why it would be useful. Your school work. You won’t hog the family computer while completing your daily assignments. Also, but sure to mention that you are aware of their concern for your safety and for that reason you want them to put parental controls on there and give them all your passwords so you can show them you are responsible.
if your parents put spyware programs and blocks on everysite they dont want you on and if you do well in school then I dont see a reason you cant get a cheap laptop for school stuff. you know they sell 188 dollors ones like thta one laptop per child thing have your parents buy one for you and they give one to charity for free
You could take it to school so you don’t have to always type stuff in your home computer and you have more time.
Tell them what you told us… Explain to them why you think you should get a laptop.. Show them how responsible you are….. Be you also need to remember not to give any personal info about yourself when you get your new laptop.. Because if they found out, your new laptop may be in the pawn shop..

You don’t need a laptop be happy you have a desktop.
Be happy I’m not your parent, you wouldn’t get one until you were off to college.
A kid doesn’t need a laptop. I’m 23 and have managed to gain my degree without one, and am currently completing my postgraduate degree. So if I can get through university and college without one, then you can certainly do your 13-year-old homework without one.
well why shouldnt a kid have a laptop?
You said it yourself- you’re a 13-year-old KID and WANT it for “stuff”. Laptops are for ADULTS and/or people that NEED it.
i have one, and it helps me a lot. I do homework, and email, im, chat, and surf. Im ur age too.
trust me you should get it.
